⚠️ Important Notice Regarding Unauthorized Credit Card Charges

Over the past several days, LOVEPAWS has received a number of emails and messages from individuals reporting unauthorized credit card charges that include “Love Paws” or similar wording in the transaction description.

First and foremost, we’re very sorry to everyone who has been affected. We know discovering an unfamiliar charge on your account can be stressful.

After carefully reviewing our records, we have found no evidence that these transactions originated through LOVEPAWS or our donation systems. Many of the individuals who have contacted us have never donated to our organization, and some transaction descriptions appear to reference a different organization or merchant with a similar name. This merchant appears to be based in Los Angeles under the name “Love and Paws” with the number (323) 380-0735.

Although we do not believe these charges are connected to LOVEPAWS based on a review of all donations from the giving platforms we use, we are taking every report seriously. We are documenting the information people share with us, continuing to monitor our systems for suspicious activity, and are working to better understand what is occurring.

If you see an unfamiliar charge on your account, we recommend that you take the following actions:

1. Contact your bank or credit card issuer immediately.
2. Report the charge as unauthorized if you did not make it.
3. Ask your bank for the complete merchant name and contact information associated with the transaction.
4. Monitor your account for any additional suspicious activity.
